Task 2 / Content Generation

1
Write 3000 words (English/Malay) on any subject that you are familiar with, for example, yourself, your family, someone who inspires you, your hometown, or an experience or an idea/belief that you feel strongly about, etc. The text content must be divided into 3 chapters minimum, it must also have 3/4/5 subtexts (sidebars) and one caption per chapter. You have 1 week for this. You can also choose to obtain the text from a source, which you will credit or solicit a real job from a client that falls roughly within the parameters mentioned above.

3000word:

2
Identify 16 areas in your written text for visualization, you may use any medium that is suitable for your topic/direction, for example, illustration, photography, or mix-media. You have 3 weeks for this (after completing your 3000 words).

When I search for visual references on the internet, I find some very interesting thing, that is Risograph. The Risograph is a stencil duplicator. Think of it as a cross between screen printing and photocopying. The Riso prints one color at a time in bright, vibrant colors. It is ideal for posters, graphic prints, zines, comics, and other graphic arts.
It can give people a very energetic vibe. I like it very much and decide to learn how to draw something like Risograph.

Then I started to work on it, also learn how to draw illustrations like print by risograph machine.

figure2.6: Final color palatte

Mr. Vinod thinks if keep everything in a consistent color palette will be better.
Then I keep working on creat images, with a consistent color palette.

After this week I also show the progress to Mr. Vinod. He gives me some advice. But I forgot to save this week's version. So I will just go through to the final outcome step.

Finally, I came out with this, without Riso graphic texture.

After this, I use digital technologies to make them look like came from a Riso printer.

Feedback
Week 3:
- keep everything uses the same color scheme that will make my book looks more powerful
- try to be more abstract, make audiences go to think about your illustration
- use some elements that have shown up in your life, it always more inspire u, cuz it comes from
real life.
Week 4:
- do not just one picture one image, try to explore more elements in my draw.
- have fun with it, just try more and more on it.
- Lots of elements can be using in any way that will be interesting.
Week 5:
- Overall is consistency
- just the acceptance design need to change it
- Can start to think about layout references

Reflection

Experience:
It was the first time I had written such a long novel in English, the first time I had illustrated the story, and the first time I had learned about Riso printing, and how to use computers to make an electronic version of Riso printing.

Observations:
It was found that the uniformity of the colors used to draw a picture made it more comfortable to look at, and with the addition of texture, the richness of the picture was enhanced.

Findings:
Their ability to imagine images, and for the use of the ability of abstract graphics need to strengthen training. The illustration still has many places not to arrive at its own ideal state but has already achieved its own best degree in a limited time.

Magazine"BRAND:I want to set up a studio "(Special Edition)

The printing and special process of BRAND magazine is meticulous and detailed in every issue. And this issue is about designing and running a studio, which is something I’m very interested in, and something I’m going to do in the future. The magazine interviewed 17 designers of Chinese descent, who answered questions about how they got started, what push was, what they had set up their studios, and so on, and the magazine used very good typography to showcase the designer's work. The brand magazine showcases the beauty of the high-quality print.
