Briefing & Formats
We started class with a Facebook Live session with Mr.Vinod. He briefed us about the module, the projects and exercises that we would be doing for class. Moreover, we were briefed on about our project 1, he showed us some of our senior's works. We should be starting our content gathering by next week. He also posted a lecture video about "Formats" on Youtube for us to watch at home.

In the video, he explained about the different formats that have been used by different civilisations around the world. He explained about how the formats have changed over different periods of time. The civilisations that were looked into were Mesopotamian civilisation, Ancient civilisation, Indus valley civilisation, Han Chinese civilisation and European civilisation.

History of Print
We started class with tutorial class on Facebook live, we did a few exercises. Because I done it before, so I just start at visual references.

This lecture was about print history, where it focused primarily on how printing evolved from the early days and the various techniques employed.

After the Van de Graaf exercise, Mr Vinod moved on and demonstrated the signature folding system on Facebook Live. He also demonstrated on how to number the pages properly.

After the Signature Folding System exercise, we moved on to do the Grid exercise. Mr Vinod continued this session on Facebook Live and asked us to find a few examples of magazine spreads or book spread online. Then we were to draw grids and margins on InDesign

Form & Movement (Thumbnail)

We needed to use InDesign for next exercise. The purpose of the exercise is to explore simple forms to create a pattern that flows based on the grid system.

To start, we needed to set the margins and columns.Then we add shapes to create the flow of the 16 page spread.

Feedback

Week1: 
-Mr. Vinod told us this semester will be the hardest semester ever been. To manage our time will become more important than ever been.
-In the first week we need to do 3000 words for our book which we need to publish this semester.
-Finish the imprinted sheet.
-Find some visual references for this book. It can be any style, better do not to representational, better to give audiences some imagination space.
-Include more than 8 references.
Week 2:
- Taylor's press as our publisher book.
- Our visual should be magnified and not literally direct and literal.
- Break and dissect expect of how you want to visualize it for your book.
- The most important part of the book is visual.
- 4-5 visuals need to be shown by next week. 
Week 3:
- keep everything use the same color scheme that will make my book looks more powerful
- try to be more abstract, make audiences go to think about your illustration
- use some elements have shown up in your life, it always more inspire u, cuz it comes from 
real life.
Week 4:
- do not just one picture one image, try to explore more elements on my draw.
- have fun with it, just try more and more on it.
- Lots of elements can be using in any way that will be interesting.
Week 5:
- Overall is consistency
- just the acceptance design need to change it
- Can start to think about layout references

When I try to found some visual references from Pinterest, lots of Korean design graphic work always show up, So, I become interested in Korean design. I bought this book is about Korean design. In this book, there are interviews with 13 Korean graphic designers. All these designer share their work, and also analyzed the Korean design environment. Through these interviews, I can know Korea's design environment is quiet dynamic now. Every designer has their own design motivation.
